Dear Bangor Youth Hockey families, players, coaches and supporters. We would like to announce the Boards decision to combine the organizations of Bangor Youth Hockey and the Penobscot Valley Hockey Conference (PVHC). As some of you have may have heard, this decision has been in the works over the past several months and has been a well thought out and somewhat emotional decision by the Bangor board members. We would like to remind everyone that our number one priority is our players and our community and we will continue to act in the best interest of those who have entrusted us with this leadership. The future of our local hockey program lies within the idea of having a streamlined and more efficient program that falls in line with USA Hockey organizational trends and one that provides the best quality hockey product for our players and their families. The process of combining these organizations is going to require great diligence and personal time by all three organizations, so please bear with us as we take on this endeavor in attempt to create a program that is going to fulfill the needs of our community. We realize that maintaining Bangor Youth Hockey’s identity and voice is a key element to who we are and we as a board will not relinquish these values and will do everything within our power to maintain this need. Lastly, our organization has evolved, grown and excelled on volunteerism from our community, so please realize that this need will not cease to exist. Your support and caring for our players is what made Bangor Youth Hockey and we hope it is also what takes us into the next volume our local Youth Hockey experience. Thank you all and stay tuned for future development via our website and Facebook page.
